Default Tomlin's Clock Management needs improvement

He needs to start paying attention and to stop letting Ben run everything. No reason at all that we didn't call a timeout after Moore was tackled with 25 seconds there. We would have had two plays to get 1st down and plenty of time to run another play in the field and clock it after a positive play in middle of field. Bad job by Tomlin.

I also will bring up I recall a couple of times in the 2 minute offense where we would allow Big Ben to clock the ball on 1st and goal when we had over a minute to go (Ravens game in 08 comes to mind and there was another where it happened too). No reason to clock it yet we did. Lots of inconsistently out there. He needs to take control from Ben in these situations and overrule him.

I'm nitpicking but its things I've noticed that Tomlin/Ben don't really do well.

Clock Management was bad, and we could have really used the points at that time. I agree.

Tough on the time management when your QB needs to be helped to the line.lol I agree we shouldve walked with at least a field goal try, but it takes Ben an extra 4 seconds to get where he needs to get. They shouldve burned the timeout, than did an out to the sideline.

Perhaps Tomlin gets a bonus for not using timeouts? I sure hope he isn't watching the Rex Ryans and Andys Ried time management skills. Next thing we know, Tomlin will be freezing our own kicker ala Garret, lol
say it ain;t so Mike.

We all know at least IMO Ben is pretty smart with TM in his games, I believe it was a product of the bum ankle.

Oh but we lost against one of the top teams in the league, with one of the top ranked defenses. WE SHOULD FIRE HIM IMMEDIATELY BECAUSE WE AREN'T HAVING A PERFECT SEASON!

If that is what you want, LOL

The entire game, players, management, fluffers etc didn't do their job, lol. Doesn;t mean we fire everyone, lol.

Various things effect various outcomes to each play. Bens ankle, effected the Time management at the half. I think some of the young guns effected it as well they need a bit more direction in the pressure situations as opposed to a basic no huddle.

this part is not concerning as I said above, Ben typically is really good. I'll be concerned when we start freezing our own kicker, LOL

The only person on the team I would fire right now is Arians. What the heck was with the personnel adjustment when the clock was winding down? Just spike the ball.

From the game Ben completed I think it said 21 of 30 passes in the 15 yard range. He only completed 4 of 14 greater than 15 yards with 3 picks.

Arians answer to his struggles is to throw it deep(er).
