To say that the spammers have gone into overdrive since the holiday season started is the mother of all understatements. If I read a few posts and respond, I can be 100% certain that there will be five new spambot registered and several spam postings to delete. It's obscene.

just for reference, take a look at the "members" listed below. about 200, or pretty much every one with a nonsensical gibberish name is a spammer. it take blood, sweat, tears, and gallons of jizz (male and female alike) to make it all go away. please bear with the wondertwins as they make your posting (and patriot/raven/arians bashing) experience as enjoyable as possible.

thanks bayz101, fire arians, and Atlanta Dan for helping out. this shit is crazy. i have noticed something when i am deleting banned spammers messes after theyre gone. most of them who dont do a one and done post are usually capped out at 37 posts as if they are no longer to go on. its kinda strange.

the mod controls take a bit getting used to and there are usually several different ways to do the same action. i'll try to help with any questions, but y'all are probably more internet savy than myself anyways.

its a captain obvious type thing but yesterday i came across a spam advertising butt sex porn with pictures that had obviously slipped through the cracks (either that or rico was doing me a favor).

if you see anything that has been missed or is a post buried in an active thread ESPECIALLY with any vulgar material, please report.

if its on the front page, we will most likely catch it and sweep it out.

It tends to help when the spam is buried within a topic, and not a topic of it's own.

Example:

A user posts spam material within a topic created by a regular member (Ex: "Fire Arians")

It's a good idea to report these type of posts as it's harder for us moderators to see them then it is for us to see topics created by spam bots.
