I don't blame him if he does. By the time he "waits" for LeBeau to retire, he'll be sixty +

I don't blame him. If it was my call I would of had DL retire and made Butler our DC right now so I wouldn't lose him. DL is going to be gone very soon and now we dont have a replacement

Everything will be fine...I hope DL stays for another 5 years...Good luck to Butler elsewhere.

I'm not too worried about it to be quite honest. It's looking like he's interviewing, and that he hasn't even left.

So why would the Colts hire a 3-4 guy when they have Mathis and Freeney? I wouldn't make two of the best 4-3 pass rushers in this league convert to a standing linebacker this late in their career.

That is not the best option. I wouldn't mind to see him as an assistant but we have a great assistant right now in Jerry Olsavsky. If Butler leaves then I figure he will be promoted and given a couple more years to groom under LeBeau.

Its not like Keith was a huge draw and people were fighting over him in 2003. When he was let go from Cleveland we seen something in him and decided to let our DC groom him and now this is the result.

The same will happen with Jerry O. He knows the team, the scheme and played under LeBeau at one point. DL will groom him and he will become touted just as Butler did.

Colts new HC ran the 3-4 as DC in Baltimore

And I think Freeney is a FA

Blowing it up in Indy
