RIP Beano Cook
Another loss
Carroll H. "Beano" Cook, the quick-witted college football historian who entertained television audiences with his unique view of the world of sports, died at the HCR Manor Care nursing facility in Green Tree, a Pitt athletic department spokesman said. Mr. Cook was 81. Mr. Cook was best known for his work as a college football analyst and historian with ABC Sports and ESPN.
