Default Time Difference vs D

As others have noted, the defense played worse than usual, giving up 20 points in the first half despite no turnovers by our offense (in the first half). Could it be related to jet lag, with the team crossing the Atlantic not that long before kickoff? Did they fly overnight? Could've been a factor.

Our defense sucks. That's why they didn't play well.

I don't know if it had anything to do with it, but I would guess not. I think the defense just played a bad game. The missed tackle by Allen, and then everybody else missing was just terrible. The long run by Peterson was a good play on their part.

Timmons was thrown to the ground by the most casual stiff arm I've ever seen on AP's run.

Don't know if it was the main reason, but it certainly didn't help any.

Didn't the Patriots make the same type of travel arrangements and absolutely excel?

The most logical explanation is that we just have a bunch of lazy, malcontent, underperforming personnel who complain and look for excuses.

If I was the coach my forehead vein would be noticeably pulsing right now and my face would be red and I would be screaming at these guys and telling it like it is.

Next they'll start complaining they burned out because they were overworked in the preseason.

The problem is nobody to replace Foote to stop the run and still absolutely no pressure by Woodley and JJ. Our int Dline is too small too, Big Snack is missed, we are just in transition even though nobody will say it. I can hope for 2 more years for Troy, Clark (probably not) and Ike (again probably not) so they can have one more shot at a ring before they are done.

Period.
Agreed

Patriots arrived in London on Friday last year while the Rams arrived on Tuesday

Patriots 45 - Rams 7

Exactly.

The Standard is the standard...except when we have injuries, are overworked, sleep deprived, confused by the new offense or haven't had enough time to learn the position or properly execute.

To me the perfect example of what is happening to this team is Pouncey.

He was all pro his first year and has completely regressed to mediocrity ever since.

4 new (1st year) starters on defense.

our buck linebacker is a rookie drafted in the 6th round.

rookie jarvis jones replaces a legend.

cortez allen returns from injury.

steve mcclendon (undrafted) also replacing a legend.

How did we wind up with these lazy malcontents?
