Batch already proved to me before this game that's he capable of being our number two. Jacobs looked way better than Boyd. I don't care if Boyd can run (Vick anybody?).

Staley stepped it up tonight. But for those who want to put the full blame on Staley, look at that o-line tonight and while we are it, the last two games. I'm not making excuses for Staley or Haynes or Humes, but that o-line is nothing to write home about.

Carter looked horrible. Clark is your starter.

Colclough looked good at being at the right place at the right time. Let me know if he looks good in coverage. I'm still not sold. I'll take McFadden.

Just my two cents in a four hour span. It's not the most in depth observation. I'm sure Friday I'll have more.

Real quick....

Ben did not play tonight.

Jabobs looked damn better than Boyd.

I still think Clark is your starting safety. Carter looked bad in my opinion.

Colclough looked good and picked up a couple of loose fumbles but I will still take McFadden.

Duce looked better even though the o-line was not looking good. Haynes and Humes were not looking much better.

Logan looked damn good tonight.

I was at the game and I didn't see many starters out there after the first series or two. I was impressed, however, at how the D played against Delhomme, Duce's slight progress, and Omar Jacobs' performance. The Steelers scrubs did not allow Carolina into the end zone which is always a plus. Cowher is going to have a few hard decisions to make come tomorrow and after Omar's stellar performance last night (did you see him thread that one pass between two defenders? ), the choice is an easy one between him and Boyd. We have an over abundance of wideouts and that, I believe, is going to be Cowher's most difficult selection. I would definitely hold on to Q and dump Mays, but they are probably going to ax yet another receiver - Morey possibly? I'd hate to see that happen, as he is a great ST'er, but he can be replaced. Overall, I wasn't upset with the outcome considering that both teams were using their 2nd and 3rd teamers. I have no doubt whatsoever that the Steelers will be more than prepared for the arrival of the Fins.
