They played like crap after the first period, so I can't totally fault Fleury.. but OMG why leave the net with 6 skaters in the zone??????

Sometimes I think all the misplaced hate for Big Ben/Tomlin is deep seeded, subconscious HATE for MAF and the Pens (and the inability to hate Sid).

It's hard to follow a team with Cup experience and three top-two draft picks (two first overall) who are undoubtedly two of the best players in the league fail so consistently.

We love Sid and Geno. They're so good it's not funny. So we can't properly criticize them, even when they deserve it (less true for Geno).

Just a thought though.

I want to hate the Pens. I just can't.

Does anyone really believe that we can beat New York anyways? Lundqvist can actually stop pucks and doesn't leave his net with 22 seconds left.

The Penguins aren't coached well enough to be Stanley Cup contenders anymore.

A caller just called in on UPMC Nightly sports call in Pittsburgh and said " they should put a shock collar on Fleury so if he trys to leave the net ZAP!!!"

I have my doubts about the Pens against the Rangers, but I'm just so sick of this regular season domination and then we get to the playoffs and they became certified ,drool cloth wearing, window lickers.

That second period was brutal with all of the penalties we were lucky to come out of that with a 1pt lead. Not to mention the fact they outshot us something like 18-6 (correct me if that stats wrong). They're letting Columbus spend too much time in our zone and Columbus is just playing more physical at this point. They're wearing down the Pens who try to come out hot, and end up tiring out when they need to be putting the other team away. Need to clean up the slop, and keep the tempo up at the end of games or we are going to lose this series to a team who couldn't beat us in the regular season.
