fun game - Olli Maatta gets his first two career points, that boy can shoot, he's fun to watch - and Juicy was all over the ice.

Tanner fucking Glass scores - it's a miracle year!

Another 19 year old had a big game tonight. Sick, sick goal. This kid is going to be great too.

We got Olli for 6 more games till they send him back down to juniors, he played a ton of minutes in the 3rd .....or maybe not

Josh YoheVerified account‏@JoshYohe_Trib
Bylsma's comments the highest praise he has given Maatta. Have to think it's no longer a given he goes back to juniors.

We're about to get in a numbers game, we got Letang coming back and Despres waiting in the wings too.

Zatkoff will be getting his first NHL start tonight against Florida (back to back games with Fleury starting against TB tomorrow). So good luck to him tonight!

much better - I like the way the Lightning play - that was a fun game - our boys came to play this time - Sid gets the hat trick and Malkin was all business - good win in a see-saw battle

I missed both games (spent the weekend going to haunted houses), but glad to see they at least split the FLA road trip. They don't ever seem to do very well down there...too much wanting to play in the sun.

Disappointed with Zatkoff's first game, but they had to at least see what he could do. Now maybe they'll start looking for a better backup, cause I definitely don't think he's it.

Malkin still needs to work on turning the puck over

Penguins Recall Forward Harry Zolnierczyk
Tuesday, 10.15.2013 / 10:00 AM / News

Pittsburgh Penguins

The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Harry Zolnierczyk from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League (AHL), it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero.

The Penguins have also placed forward James Neal on injured reserve.

Zolnierczyk, 26, has played in three games with WBS, helping the team post a 3-0 record by scoring a club-high (tied) three goals. He tallied twice in WBS 5-2 season-opening defeat of the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on Oct. 5.

The 5-foot-11, 185-pound Zolnierczyk was acquired by the Penguins from the Anaheim Ducks during the offseason. He split last season between the Anaheim Ducks and Philadelphia Flyers organizations, notching one assist in seven NHL games with the Flyers.

A native of Toronto, Ontario, Zolnierczyk collected seven points (3G-4A) in 44 career regular-season games with Philadelphia between 2011-13.

Originally signed by the Flyers as an undrafted free agent, Zolnierczyk played four seasons of college hockey at Brown University of the ECAC from 2007-11.

3-2 Pens over the Oilers in a beautiful skating game to watch - both teams were flying up and down the ice - hardly any whistles. Geno with the big wind up slammer to win it after Sid got a stick in the mouth and bit out a junk of tongue penalty.

Olli Maatta has no business going back to Juniors - he was making big plays on defense....and we need his young legs
