actually, I think that short field argument is a myth. You don't need short fields to score as much as you need to be able to convert 3rd downs and have a good efficiency in the red zone. And in order to succeed, you need to control the line of scrimmage.

listen to clarks post game

he said Ben is the only reason he has a SB ring after his defense let the team down. He cleared the air, its a whole lot of nothing and was probably taken out of context. Winning fixes a lot of problems

clark is no dummy and knows where is bread is buttered. His post career job is already pretty much locked down. He really doesn't need to provide any in season sound bites to the media.

True, it is just a myth. Also, the reason why we had long fields were due to a lack of movement at times. They gained the field advantage because we failed to get first downs. But I do agree that we did have a couple of nice long drives which proved to be the difference.

This from Ed.B. of the P-G

You want another quarterback than Ben Roethlisberger? You think another quarterback could have shaken off what looked to be a sure safety on that second series? Maybe he should have toned it down there.

Clark gets a one year contract in Bristol but those player slots turn over a lot - to get a long term seat at one of the shows you need to have been a high profile player

So does everyone telling him to shut up, and that he was wrong for speaking out against Ben.

Being called out by almost everyone, including the fan base, and being told he's playing like shit seemed to light a fire under his ass and humble him a bit.
