I'm not going to debate team by team but I think that off base list reinforces my idea that claiming Stewart would be regarded as the best QB in team history by a lot of teams is way off base

He's definitely a player that would fit well into the read option offenses teams are running now. He wasn't a good drop back quarterback. He just wasn't. But, like many have already said, his skillset wasn't used properly because nobody wanted to break the mold and just let him run an offense that wasn't accepted at the NFL level.

I appreciate Kordell more now than I did back then, because I now see what he might have been capable of in a different offense that played to his skills.

This isn't limited to Stewart either. There are a lot of quarterbacks that play in systems that don't fit them well. Offensive coordinators are proud men that have egos too. They all think their offenses are the shit, and don't want to change anything to suit one player. Those that do change things to optimize a quarterbacks talents are the smart men that get the most of the talent given to them.
