we dont NEED starks. it would be up to starks to stay in shape and decide if he NEEDED a paycheck.

the proof is in the pudding that he is pretty happy on his couch.
I just saw a bit of him playing right after he got picked up and he looked TERRIBLE. Literally like a guy they'd snatched off the couch to try to play LT.

I don't know how well that strategy works. Look at Weeden. I thought that guy was going to come back and start with a mission. Still sucked.

I can see how things would play out:

AP-

Regarding the questionable Arizona Cardinals-Pittsburgh Steelers Levi Brown trade, after three hours of rigorous review, an NFL spokesperson released this official statement today:

"Upon investigation, we have concluded that the Steelers Front Office panicked and foolishly acquired an overpaid, under talented injury prone Left Tackle. The Cardinals acted in good faith and merely capitalized on the Steelers incompetence. We hope this resolves the matter."

Interesting point and that does make the most sense.

I mean when you had Adams giving up on plays in London with his hands on his hips when the play is still going, he has to be benched. It's simply inexcusible behavior especially from a 2nd year player.

I dont know how you aren't playing your ass off to get the most salary possible if we ever offered a contract.

Besides the brilliance of Bellichick, and a small set of GM's, Colbert is still in the top 10 GMs IMO.

Firing him would be fantastically dumb.

Ed.B. of the P-G shares his view

Hi Ed, are we again in search of another offensive tackle? Max Starks a possibility?

Ed Bouchette: No, because you can't have enough tight ends, at least if you are the Steelers. They signed Richard Gordon, another tight end and no offensive tackle. They now have four tight ends and three offensive tackles, unless you count Guy Whimper, who also is a guard.
...The Steelers have a fascination with tight ends, no matter their ability.

I guess the thought is, in lieu of a good LT, we'll use a shitty one and an average TE to pass block. .5 + .5 = 1.

*sigh*

I just think they freaked out following Adams being abused by Jared Allen in London and made a panic move

As some times happens with threatened break-ups, they could have cleaned out Adams locker and dumped everything in the street outside the practice facility rather than waste air fare on flying Brown to Pittsburgh

Or since Brown talked trash about Haley when he arrived, maybe they were trying to light a fire under Haley

Trash talks Haley

Season-ending injury during pregame warmups

Coincidence?
