mark ingram is just more proof that a successful running game is 90% oline ...10% RB.
he should be splitting his pay with the 5 alabama hogs that helped him become a 1st rd pick.
if i were an nfl gm , i'd NEVER spend more than a 3rd pick on a RB.

It's alright. You might just miss LaDainian Tomlinson, Adrian Peterson, Steven Jackson, etc.

Ingram just proves that there is no rocket science in the draft.

Thanks everyone for the kind welcome. Hawaii 5-0, the Cliff Harris incident is among my favorite Steeler memories. I remember it like it was yesterday. After Jack slung Cliff to the ground, Harris got up like he was going to fight, until he saw it was Lambert. Then, he looked like he was going to pee in his pants!

This would not have been a bad idea before this last draft; trading a low-round draft pick for a wash-out RB.

However, since the Steelers now have Bell and it's obvious that their running woes start with the OL, it wouldn't make sense to give up anything to land Ingram.

Maybe sign him when he's a FA on the cheap and see if he makes the squad as a 'change of pace' back, but the Steelers have more pressing needs.

Honestly, he could be a better fit for a team with an older RB, better line and looking for a cheap option at tailback like say... San Fran or Atlanta.

Welcome to the board.

The problem is, if Bell gets hurt, we don't have any running game again. I would trust Ingram more than Jones or Dwyer.

Lewis is going to be a cap casualty, if not this off season, then the following, and that is when we will bring him back. @ the league min or there abouts...

I think Mike Wallace will become a cap casualty before Keenan Lewis will.
