Default Been out of touch for a while..............

Likely no one has missed my posts of late but I had a complete Left HIp Replacement Surgery this past Monday. Been in a ton of pain for years now and was told it was Osteoarthritis. Took some treatments but Doctors told me that surgery was really only course,so I put it off til the Monday before Thanksgiving so as to miss as little of work as possible, Wife and I both work in School system and we had this week off and then only 3 weeks til Christmas break.

Surgery seems to have gone well, I can at least sit at rest with out the constant pain. Just I am sore as all get out, and weak as a kitten in my bad leg. Rehab was started almost immediately and is very painful and while I am disappointed in my progress, progress is being made. Been an exciting week what with an early family meal, surgery. two nights in hospital, Steeler game, and loads of college football. Wife even missed Black Friday.Any way just letting my Steeler Family know that I have not given up on them or my beloved Steelers just had some issues that were a long time coming. Hoping to return to work on Jan 6th and hoping we play some meaningful games in January also. Prays and well wishes accepted humble and grateful.

Sorry to hear you're in pain and had to have surgery. I've been having persistent shoulder pain lately and fear getting it checked out as I think I may be headed in the same direction. I've never had any surgery of any type so I'm a little chicken (mmmmmm.... chicken ).

Get well soon, man!

My nephew was up to visit me this week and he had both shoulders worked on. He is still having trouble with one. He said he had to actually move his arm by using the other at one time. Hope you find the right Doctor and care, well wishes to you. As far as being chicken do a google search of my procedure and then look at images. Was really worried beforehand.

Sorry to hear about this, Ricco. I've had a couple family members who've had hip replacements, and wouldn't wish it on anyone. Hope you start feeling better soon, and keep up the good work in rehab.

Get well soon man.

I have the same thing in my ankle, osteoarthritis, from a bad break i had in my younger days. Bad thing is they don't make replacement ankles yet. Last time I had it checked out the doc was mumbling something about eventually having to get it fused together when the cartilage wears out. Yay can't wait.
