There's no way Bridgewater falls to us. Not only would it be insane if WE passed him up, but also for the other 15 teams picking ahead of us.

I think he has another 5 or 6 good years in him. Especially if the line continues to do a good job of protecting him like the 2nd half of this season, and he keeps making the quick read and release.

This is how I look at it. We came through this season with a lot of bright spots. The professional assessment of the team must take into account this upswing in the second half of the season.

However, we might very well have another salary cap purge, and the defense needs to be addressed. There are bright spots along with some negatives that must be taken into consideration. I for one like the way this team is headed right now, but I'm afraid of what challenges lie ahead in the offseason.

I agree. I've said it before, I thought some time around our 0-4 start that Ben looked like he had one or two more years tops. At this point though, it really looks to me more like 4-6 more years.

I thought we were going to trade Woodley for the #1 pick

However the team ended the season 8-8 for the 2nd straight year and missed the playoffs for the 2nd straight year.

Yes, but it can be broken down further. As a fan, if you want to look at it like that and stop there, that's fine. But I don't think that's the way the organization looks at it. You can't throw the baby out with the bathwater.

I feel like this team is on the rise. I think we figured out a lot during this season. The o-line improved drastically once we got the right mix of players out there, and will probably be better with Pouncey back, and also got a chance to develop quality depth in the process. Le'Veon Bell is a budding superstar, Ben is in his prime and made it through a whole season without injury. Heath should be back to his old self, and Antonio Brown proved that he is a legitimate #1 receiver. They finally figured out that it is better to use the no huddle offense at the beginning of the game instead of waiting til they're down by three touchdowns in the fourth quarter. The defense has budding stars in Cam Heyward and Worilds (hopefully we can re-sign him or franchise him), Shamarko should be capable of stepping in for Clark, Jarvis Jones looked good lining up in the middle of the defense today, showed that he can cover a lot of field, hopefully they keep him there more often. Cortez Allen is a solid #2 CB, Will Allen and William Gay have been solid for the most part and can bridge the gap for the young safety and/or CB that they will inevitably draft. The ravens are on the decline, the Bungles are soft, and the browns are the browns. I can see us winning the North next year.

Once a thread starts talking about getting rid of BB or Tomlin that's when the thread starts getting shittier.
