You are correct and we Franchise Tagged him too, then extended the contract.

Between the 2 you definitely have to go Worilds over Woodley. You just have to hope that once Worilds gets paid he doesn't get complacent.

I would also like to see Sanders back for the right price.

Would hate to see Troy go. He has still been our biggest X factor on our D and with turnovers in short supply already it would be tough to see him walk. If a safety goes it has to be Clark.

I figure Worilds could disappear any second. He was a non factor his first 3 and a half years. His durability is a question mark.

Woodley has already disappeared. Woodley hasn't had durability in a year and a half.

Steelers in unfamiliar territory at outside linebacker.

We got JJ.

We have 3 D-lineman who's contracts are up: Keisel, Hood, and Woods.
Sanders is easily replaced and much cheaper...Wheaton, Moye or Brown will be fine.

very possibly true. If the coaches are confident that Sanders is replaceable at this point, I'm all for it. But Sanders has a lot of experience starting in this offense, and playing with Ben. I would be worried to see us lose some of the momentum we've gained on offense the second half of the year.

I think Sanders is gone. He had a much better second half, but still had many key drops.

Ben always fights for and supports his receivers, but deep down I think he would do anything to have a 6' 3"- 6' 6" WR on the other side of AB. A real outside receiver that can do the toe dance along the sideline and catch the ball running deep routes. Someone you can throw to deep even when they're covered. He won't overthrow as many deep passes if he doesn't have to make a perfect pass every time.

I think Keisel comes back. Nobody else will offer him a contract at his age. We can keep him at the vet minimum. Even as a backup, that would be a cap friendly move. The guy knows our defense and is still playing decent.

Troy needs to be back, if anything we just don't have anyone else to play safety/middle linebacker

Not sure why everyone is so down on Hood. He's not a superstar but was a solid starter as a 3-4 DE. Did his job. Remember that it's not a DE job to get sacks/pressures, that's just a bonus.

I'd like to keep Woirlds but I just hope that the Lewis thing last year doesn't cause an overpay.

Woodley is a tough once because it may actually be cheaper to keep him based on what he earns vs the cap hit.

Someone will pay Sanders.

WR is a huge issue for us. Outside of Brown who do we have? Crotchety is fine in certain situations but no one else is proven.

Let's also not forget about TE. Miller is getting up there in age and the TE is very important to this offense.

I agree Troy needs to come back, I fully believe that someone needs to be that veteran influence on that defense, who better than Troy.

Hood, quite simply hasn't really panned out to his #1 Draft pick status, had plenty of promise but has been nothing but flashy at best. Now Cameron Heyward, he's a beast and should be back, reminds me of Mean Joe juts a little bit.

Woodley, hmmm, c-ya, too injury prone, can't stay away from the buffets. Maybe he'll end up with Bruce Arians???

Sanders never lived up to his expectations, he has had some very crucial drops, time to cut ties and let him get the money he think he is going to get. IMO it won't be what he thinks he deserves.

TE, I thought that was an issue that should have been addressed in last year's draft, however look at Tony Gonzalez and how long he has played. I truly don't believe Heath was 100% for the majority of his playing time, lets wait one more year and give him a full off-season to prepare!
