I haven't been to a regular season home game in a long time, for all the reasons mentioned previously. I live in Maryland, so I do go to the Steelers game in Baltimore almost every year but even that is becoming tedious...though I have seen some great games in the past few years.

But...I do get playoff tickets for every game in Pittsburgh. Nothing beats the atmosphere and intensity of a playoff game at Heinz Field...and just the general atmosphere around the stadium before the game is awesome. The do or die aspect makes it so much more fun and exciting. I would take that every time over watching a playoff game on TV.

I was practically born into it. I was 7 years old getting up at 5 a.m with my dad in the sub-zero parking lots of TRS sitting beside a burn barrel eating a hot pit of chili and enjoying the atmosphere. Being there is special to me and a bond I share with my dad from a very young age. Now that I'm old enough on my own and old enough to return the favor, every season I treat my dad to the season opener and near December for his birthday. We try to make it to atleast 3-4 games a season on average. There's basically nothing like it to me and I'm privileged enough to have lived out my bucket list time and time again. Sat there in the pouring down rain to end the season 2 Sundays ago against Cleveland. Glad to go out with a "W", especially the last few games in attendance has been losses.

exactly - you don't really realize how big, strong, fast and HARD HITTING these guys are - it is like watching bodies being thrown around in a car accident at times

I haven't been to an NFL game since the game Barry Foster set the Team's Season Rushing record. That day the crowd was more entertaining than the game.

In general, I don't like crowds much, and like traffic jams even less. Adding long waits to use the head, it's not for me...... that's not to say I'll never go to a game again, but I find it highly unlikely that I would, unless it was a family sort of thing.

As for the "Experience" of being in the crowd, trust me, I can get emotional enough of my own come game time, and I'm much more comfortable when displayed, it's in private.
