I agree. The Steelers have only themselfs to blame for not making the playoffs, not the Chiefs.

Agreed KC did not owe anyone squat last Sunday but bottom line is a 41 yard FG Is made over 80% of the time

They fucked up that kick and I am glad they lost today

I think it's funny as hell they lost. So much for resting starters for the playoffs. It's always worked so well for Andy Reid.

The only thing funnier is a message board crank who gets all butt-chafed at somebody taking solace in it.

I posted last week that the Steelers had rested key starters going into the playoffs and that Andy Reid had to do what was best for the Chiefs, but I I do not recall any team resting 20 out of 22 starters - why not just forfeit?

But tell it to John Madden, who had this to say when the Redskins sat RGIII for the rest of the season

“And we have an integrity piece here, too,” he continued. “You can say well they’re 3-10, they’re out of it, so now they can do these things. No you can’t. This is still regular-season football. Draft order, that’s one small thing, but you still owe it to the people that are playing, that are still in the playoff picture. And when you can affect that and you don’t affect it with an all-out performance, then I think that affects the integrity of the game….If you’re in the regular season, there’s only one way to play, and that’s to play your best people to win the game, every regular season game.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/...wn-is-baloney/

Reid rested everyone to avoid injuries and then had 5 starters injured today, including his best player on the sixth play of the game - I call that justice

I simply am glad that a team that could have put the Steelers in the playoffs but screwed up a FG that is usually made (Succup made 2 from that distance today) lost

Plus I bet the Colts getting 1 point

Not to mention, doesn't a team owe it to the fans to put the best product and effort on the field. They are paying full price per ticket and in essence they end up with additional meaningless pre season type games when a team throws in the towel. Not really talking about the Chiefs, but more of the Redskins and even the Texans situation. That team totally gave up. These guys are pros getting paid a lot of money to perform. They should, and the coaches should allow them to. Again, no problem with resting some key guys to get ready for a playoff run.

No one said "the Chiefs owed us anything". Some of you need to get off your soapbox.

That said, many were just rooting for the Chiefs to lose. I will say this - thats what you get for resting all of your starters. Just as our season went - the Chiefs made their own bed they laid in afterward...........as i said earlier this week, a lesson could be learned from the Patriots here. If that was NE last week, Belichik would have never sat his starters. Brady would have played all 4 quarters. They would have tried to rack up 50+ points.
It's the Chief's own fault they're not moving on. They had the game in the bag and blew it. Rusty?? Sure as hell looked like it. Defense was atrocious, Time mgmt was worse than ours. Etc etc etc.

That was some of the worst football i've ever seen. Neither team had a defense of ANY kind. On the last 2 KC drives, their STUPID players kept running the ball out of bounds on every play, stopping the clock instead of running it down. And do i even mention the horrible TO calls by KC?

Thoughts on the KC-IND game:

1. NAFL. National Arena Football League. Defense is dead.

2. 'Karma' or not, the legend of Andy Reid continues. How does a team blow 28/21/14 points leads???

3. Likewise, it would be nice to say, 'the legend of Andrew Luck is born', but the guy threw 3 INTs (at least two of which led to opposing points!). Again, defense is dead. Only in this era could a QB throw 3 INTs and have his D give up 44 points only to pull out a W.

4. It's too bad the Chiefs never thought to cover T.Y. Hilton (AKA, Luck's only WR worth a damn).

5. Can't you already hear Nantz and Simms fawning over a Peyton vs. Colts matchup next week? Have that remote handy to hit the mute button.
