We could've paid the guy to stay. I don't buy that he wanted to go back to NO shit.

Big mistake keeping Taylor over Keenan Lewis. We could have signed him for less than what Taylor is making now. Big FO blunder.

And to hear the announcers gush over his consistent play this year was painful.

Forget Keenan already. He and Mike Wallace were the "cancer" in the locker room. I firmly believe that. They both were more about personal stats than the team. They even grew up together. So I don't care how great he is doing somewhere else, he does not have a team mentality. Which is why I think Sanders will be gone; same mentality.

You want the evidence? Notice how everything he said was "I" or "me". This was pre-season 2012:

"Pro Bowl," Lewis predicted for himself this season. "Watch out, this is going to be a big year right here."................

..."I have all the athletic ability and things like that, just knowing things better will make me a step faster."

..."This year," the determined cornerback said, "I plan to come in and show them."

http://www.post-gazette.com/steelers...s/201205250139

Don't forget this quote from Antonio Brown at the end of 2012:

...Thats when you know youve got issues and youve got to come together as a team. Because the reality of a team game is everyone on the same page, committed to the same thing, dedicated for one goal, and thats winning, Brown said.

Although he didnt name any names, Brown said he thought he had teammates last year who cared more about their individual goals than about the teams record. ...

*No defensive back in the league allowed more yards through the air than Ike Taylor, who surrendered 1,043. Its no wonder the Steelers did not allow him to follow the other teams No. 1 receiver in the final portion of the season. Taylor finished the season as one of the bottom 12 cornerbacks in the league according to PFF.

And people will deny this to the end. I hope Ike Taylor doesn't have a future with the Steelers.

H 5-0, the year before was no different. Although they gave him better rankings. If you count the endless PI calls on him as yardage allowed he would've blow through 1k the year before as well. The streak of 6 games was 500 yards all by itself no counting the actual yards given up.

But Ike says the management and coaches love him. Hopefully they love him from a far next season.

If we don't get a 3rd round comp pick, I'm going to double down on the disappointment of letting him walk.

He's a cornerstone of the Saints defense. We had a good draft class in 2013, hopefully that will turn the tide for some of these personnel decisions lately.
