Trading for Levi Brown might've been one of the worst things Kevin Colbert has done, he's due $6,250,000 in 2014, more than David DeCastro, Kelvin Beachum, Marcus Gilbert COMBINED. Cody Wallace and/or Fernando Velasco should be brought back for depth. Fernando Velasco is versatile enough to play guard, which might make him an upgrade over Ramon Foster.

it's not that bad, we can cut Levi Brown without any cap penalty or dead money hit. Cut him, and we save all 6.25 million.

Kevin Colbert better do it, I'm running out of patience with him. He gets these veterans locked up in to big contracts (Ike Taylor, LaMarr Woodley) and doesn't pay up for better younger players like Keenan Lewis, but he better pay up for Jason Worilds.

Technically, LaMarr was young when Colbert re-signed him.

I don't blame Colbert for re-signing him, but he did overpay him even for how good of a player he was before.

In hindsight, yes.

At the time, he was a stud. Even the first none games after signing, he was on pace for Defensive Player of the Year. Then... he fell off of the map.

I'd have to agree, I think they were looking too much at his post-season performances, and not considering the fact that he had Harrison on the other side taking a lot of pressure off.

You never know how a guy is going to react after he gets his first "set for life" contract.

The Steelers really haven't made too many mistakes with contracts like this. Woodley's contract has been the exception, not the rule. That mistake needs to be rectified.
