Yep, it's a pretty safe bet that Whisenhunt will continue to steadfastly adhere to his "WWBCD" philosophy (What Would Bill Cowher Do?).

Ten bucks says Keisel, Taylor and Clark (among others) will also eventually wind up in Detroit/Nashville//Cleveland if Whisenhunt gets any of those HC jobs.

And people accuse Tomlin of riding Cowher's coattails...

Football, first and foremost, is an incredibly lucrative business. We all know that and that's why it's understood when a beloved veteran isn't re-signed or a coach is allowed to move on. Yet, every so often, an individual transcends this norm and should be granted certain privileges. LeBeau's unparalleled resume and continued coaching success, should all but guarantee that he is allowed to leave on his own terms. It just wouldn't feel right any other way.

I feel much the same way about Troy Polamalu. Alas, I doubt he'll be given that chance unless he retires or takes a big pay cut.

I always like these put the cart before the horse-type of articles. Everyone always gets their panties in a bunch.

I say Butler should go get experience. We possibly hire him back in the future after he got his system groomed...

I don't really get this at all!! Why should we rehire him when we have him already? I feel for butler! Poor guy has waited and waited and I believe the organization likes him! But at some point, you got to move on! Lebau is old and in reality, retire already! Give someone else a chance! If butler moves, can't really blame him at all, I would leave too!

Mark Kaboly ‏@MarkKaboly_Trib:

IF Whiz gets the Lions job he’ll likely bring Ray Horton & Russ Grimm w/ him. Horton would play to the Lions strength.
