The best conclusion to any season is a Steeler Trophy, that failing it’s still pretty sweet to see the pats knocked out yet again. For as much as we as Steelers fans suffered thru the pats run their downfall the past 10 years has been fantastic. As bad as those 3 of 4 years were, their annual regular season good records, the ‘brady and belicik are God mentality’, that all seems to only enhance them losing out every year deep in the playoffs.

Before this thread I hadn’t given thought to brady choking. It just seemed things hadn’t been working out for them, I never looked back at the numbers, and really I wasn’t concerned why only that I enjoyed the results. Obviously he is a good QB, but maybe there is some truth to him failing in the most crucial games.

Since SB 39 they have lost 8 times to end seasons w/o SB championships. In 7 of those games they scored a total of 108 points or an average of 15.4 points per game. In the 8th game they lost 38-34 to Manning and the Colts when brady threw an INT in the final minute to end the game. The big storyline coming out of this Sunday’s game was brady didn’t have the weapons and they only scored 16 points. In reality brady led them to ½ point more than average in 7 of their last 8 games.

exactly. Brady had Randy Moss and Wes Welker in their career years and record-setting primes but couldn't muster 20 points.

He had lagarette blount running for 4tds and 100s of yards but couldn't muster 20 points.

All this crap about him not having weapons is hogwash bullshit.

The entire NFL Is supposed to shed a fucking tear for him because he doesn't have aj green, Calvin Johnson, and shady McCoy.

Boo fucking hoo.

They have 10+ draft picks every single year. They have so many early rounders they have to trade out to accumulate more.

They had the most dynamic TE tandem this league has ever seen, but we all are supposed to feel sorry for them because that tandem is comprised of a murderer and a broke dick man child who dreams of dating smiley Cyrus?

Belickick may be a damn coach coach with the choker, but a mediocre one w/o him.

That's MEDIOCRE.

He flat out sucks as a GM... even worse than jerry Jones.

His prodigee dimitrov hired his other prodigee Scott pioli to be ATL's new asst. GM Today.
The season just ended for them, but belichick and Brady choke and lose once again!

I can't wait till may draft to watch them lose some more.

At the very worst Brady will actually remain healthy enough to play out his contract and then the patriots will fade away for the next 30-40 years like the packers of the 60's.

They caught lightning in a bottle and that's about all I will give them credit for. Maybe the raiders will trade them 2 first rounders for wilfork.

Or the bills will give them a first rounder for mallet.

Seattle loves giving up 1st rounders for washed out WRs... maybe they can get another for amendola or edelman.

Not entirely true
The manning led colts lost to the Sanchez led jets in 2010

But the info on Brady's recent postseason performances-since 2004, is pretty fascinating and something I hadn't considered much before.

But he did such a good job in Cleveland with no weapons at all.

I know that, but that has nothing to do with the "manning only loses to Super Bowl winners....and the chargers" comment being incorrect. I didn't bring it up to someway venerate the patriots or Tom Brady...

here is a list of the Chokers playoff victories since his last superbowl win i.e. the end of the "Spygate" era, and the qb's he went up against-

2006 Won Wild Card Playoffs (Jets) 37–16 chad pennington
2006 Won Divisional Playoffs (Chargers) 24–21 philip rivers 1st year starter

2007 Won Divisional Playoffs (Jaguars) 31–20 david gerrard 1st year starter
2007 Won Conference Championship (Chargers) 21–12 philip rivers 2nd year starter

2011 Won Divisional Playoffs (Broncos) 45–10 tim tebow. 1st year... dont know if you can actually call him a "starter" qb w/o insulting every other qb to start a game.
2011 Won Conference Championship (Ravens) 23–20 joe flacco grossly outplayed the choker 2 years in a row and actually won a SB

2012 Won Divisional Playoffs (Texans) 41–28 TJ Yates- 1st year starter has only started 6 games in his career

2013 Won Divisional Playoffs (Colts) 43-22 andrew luck- 2nd year starter

it is important to note that in his final SB year (2004) he beat 1st year starter ben roethlisberger and 3rd year starter, jake delhomme who outplayed him.

his final playoff victory before becoming a habitual playoff choker in denver (2005) was vs 3rd year starter byron leftwich.

joe montana beat ken anderson, dan marino, john elway, and boomer esiason in the games that mattered most.

yeah... brady is better than him.
