Great start to what was expected to be a boring offseason. This guy is the most experienced candidate for this job available.

Brian Billick would be a nice addition as well.

This from Gerry Dulac of the P-G earlier today before the hiring was announced

I don't know if Mike Munchak will come here as O-line coach, but I sure hope so. He's a good guy and a proven good coach and would be a tremendous addition to the staff.

This certainly worked out better than the hiring process last year, which Dulac describes as follows

It's been reported that a couple of offensive line coaches turned down Tomlin's job offers last season and thus he ended up with his third choice (who obviously did not last). Why did these coaches turn down the offers?

Gerry Dulac: That was me, Joe, and what i said was that Jack Bicknell Jr. was not on the original list of four possible candidates for the offensive line coach job. Why the others didn't work out I'm not sure.

He has the talents to be a very good LT and I truly still believe he's the future LT even tho Beachum played great.

If Adams does become the LT could Beachum be effective playing LG?

Adams, Beachum, Pouncey, DD, Gilbert

NICE!!!! I was afraid he was pulling strings to latch on to another job but man, I absolutely LOVE this signing. Steelers are putting together one helluva staff. If they don't pull that shit and start the season 0-4, if Brady can bring THAT N.E team to the title game, there's no doubt in my mind Ben can take the Steelers that far next year. I'm ready.
