That being said I hope Worilds stays but for the right price. I was never a big fan of Worilds but something clicked this season. He looked like Harrison out there in the last half of the season. Woodley is done.
Given Worilds' injury record, you could probably say the same to him too.

I think it is around 11 million.

The more I think about this situation, the more I think it might be impossible for him to stay.

This from Ed.B. of the P-G

Jason LaCanfora of CBS predicted on 93.7 The Fan this morning that the Steelers would keep LaMarr Woodley, perhaps under some kind of restructured contract, and that they won’t be able to keep Jason Worilds.

http://sportsblogs.post-gazette.com/...s/201402250001

This is where not playing your younger defensive players early in their first contract (Worilds, Lewis) creates a problem - Steelers are understandably reluctant to extend the contract the year before it expires if the player does not have a time on the field to measure performance, but if the player has a good season in his free agency year he would be foolish not to test the market and price himself above what the Steelers are willing to pay

If we let Worilds go and Woodley has another injured prone year expect another 8-8 season

if this is true then they must fully be expecting woodley to come back better, for jarvis jones to take that second year leap, and might be looking to pick up a LB in the draft in the early rounds. Colbert said its the deepest draft he's ever seen, and theres plenty of LB's in the draft that could beast it up for this team.

Banking on Woodley staying healthy an entire year scares me more. Were in a real shitty situation.
