the blue print to win a title has been the same 80+ years defense will always win you championships.

because when the offense gets mud butt the defense is there to bring it.

just think about the past few titles off of what teegree

seahawks defensive touchdown

ravens they had a special teams td

giants safety and rattled the shyt out of manning

packers pick six

saints pick six

That's exactly why I want to see the Steelers draft heavy on defense.

Seatlle defense looked like the Steelers defense the first 3 quarters in SB 43.

So what you're saying is, maybe we don't need our draft picks to have a fucking rosetta stone to read defenses in order to be effective? Maybe, just maybe, if we adjust our scheme to fit our talent rather than the other way around we could be effective on defense?

Pft, crazy talk!

2005 Steelers defense was 3rd in points allowed. That stat has to be wrong.

And I have no doubt the Saints defense didnt give up the least amount of points when they won it.

No one is allowed to criticize LeBeau.
He has earned the right to coach as long as he wants.....
Sarcasm off :)

That's just it. Talk to me over the next 2-3 years when Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas, et al. begin to come off the rookie wage scale en masse and all want to get paid. You don't think Sherman on his own is going to demand more than Revis is getting?

With some expert drafting and a few selective forays into free agency, Seattle built a dominant unit that's also inexpensive, with the starting 11 costing under $34 million.

It's a young defense, too, and that's a major reason it's so affordable. Of the 18 players who have started at least one game this season, six were drafted by the Seahawks in 2011 or later, which means they're still on their very reasonable rookie contracts.

They are taking advantage of their window though, gotta give them that.
