I love seeing that these two are working with Ben. We hear good things about Wheaton, and I'm pretty high on Moye

Their lack of experience in NFL game time is going to take some working through. No matter how hard they work in the offseason there are going to be some growing pains if these two see significant time.

I heard that Justin Brown was with them . The writer did not have JB 's twitter handle to mention him in his tweet.

Good to hear that. Would love to see Wheaton emerge as Wallace 2.0 but with hands, good attitude, and the ability to run more routes and I'm hoping that Moye can be that big WR that Ben's coveted since Plax left for the NYG years ago. Good news too if it's true that Brown was with them. This can only be good not just for them developing talent but chemistry and a relationship with their QB.

So what you're saying is Wallace 3.0

so really, we don't want him to be any version of a Mike Wallace?

seriously though - this is good, but as we've all discussed before (see Ike Taylor before start of this season) it is really all just BS

I appreciate the article but Taylor seemed to be talking an awful lot about working in the offseason and it really didn't help him all that much

proof is in the pudding

EDIT: let me refrain from being too negative - I like what I'm hearing and hope the hard work pays off. There, I'm not quite as cranky :)

Could this be a sign that the Steelers are attempting to save a draft pick by not using it on a receiver? They may have liked what they saw in Moye, Wheaton, and Brown and pushed Ben to work hard with them. They could use a draft pick they would have otherwise used on a WR in an area of more pressing need (i.e. defense) if they can develop the other guys they already have.

A good move if it pays off.

What we want is: AB 2.0, 3.0, & 4.0.

As far as BB working out with these receivers, my first-ever post on this site was about continuity & timing. Brady is good with his receivers, because the work & work & work on their routes... which helps their timing.

Likewise, Peyton Manning once said that he could have thrown to Marvin Harrison with his eyes closed (because Manning knew EXACTLY where Harrison was going to be at any moment on any play). Steve Young has said the same thing about Jerry Rice.

Now I know that Harrison & Rice are HOFers, but the point is still the same: BB developing timing with these young receivers will help the offense tremendously.

Yeah I guses AB is the guy you want them to emulate. When I said Wallace 2.0, it was purely a reference to the fact that Markus was compared to Wallace coming out of the draft game wise. Personality and drive obviously I want him to be like AB. When it comes to drive and personal ambition, I don't think I've seen a Steeler wideout better than AB.
