I'm still hoping Golden will amount to anything more than a special teams player. I really hope he doesn't go down the same road that Curtis Brown did.

By that I mean he seems like an in the box safety and I think that's what they intended for him to be when he was drafted. Clark in his prime rarely let WRs get past him despite rarely making plays on the ball.

He has to be. From what I have been reading Clark is most likely gone. Troy will move to the other safety role. Thomas will have to step up fast.

Thomas would have been a better player pre Roger Goodell. I like him as a hitter, and tackler, but think he's short stature, and lack of ball skills won;t add much to our pass defense.

Thomas still can play a huge role if we draft a FS or resign Clark (although I am against re-signing him).

I believe Shark can play effectively vs the slot. He did it in college quite a bit & I have to imagine he is more adept at contributing vs the run than a traditional corner. Sub package defense is huge nowadays.

He has a bright future
