Default Emmanual Sanders #1 in NFL Receptions

Emerging star II: Denver wideout Emmanuel Sanders, first in the NFL in receptions (25) and third in receiving yards (334). In August, he wasn’t practicing much because of a nagging quad injury, and he’s also battled a thigh bruise. But as offensive coordinator Adam Gase has found out, Sanders is more of a gamer than was his reputation from Pittsburgh. Sanders told me in training camp: “I don’t want to be known as a wide receiver. I want to be known as a football player.”

That from Peter King's MMQB

Say what you want but we officially blew it letting him go.

Markus Wheaton may not be peeing the bed but he isnt even in the same universe as Emmanuel Sanders right now.

Color me pissed off we let him walk.

good for Sanders. We've always known he had some talent. Glad to see him finally seeing his potential. Sorry it didn't happen here.

EDIT: I'm very happy though we didn't let him go to NE and see him pick it up with Brady

Yeah, too bad we let the un-clutch fumble-and-drop-prone cancer who throws former teammates under the bus and had more than enough opportunities to start and prove himself and royally sucked each and every time go. We really blew that one.

Not in the same universe?? Give me a break! You're spreading it a little thick after 3 games.

Peter King is a tool.

The Broncos run a markedly different offense than the Steelers which allows for Manny to thrive in ways he never could have here.

Seriously, Peter King is a tool.

Everyone knew that Manny had the talent and/or tools to succeed as a WR, and he showed plenty of glimpses in black and gold. The problem was affordability. The Steelers cap situation didn't provide for the luxury of someone like Sanders.

Speaking of tools, Peter King is one.

Sanders is the one that blew it here. Every opportunity to succeed, and he dropped every one.

Don't understand the hate for him. He's always had great things to say about the Steelers. He even predicted correctly that the Steelers and Packers would go to the Super Bowl, but picked incorrectly that the Steelers would win.
