I love my job. I wouldn't be going to work at 1:00 AM and working for only three hours when they call me in on my days off if I didn't, or working weekends and holidays when scheduled. It's very fulfilling for me to be able to help and care for others, but there are downsides, too, like when I don't get to spend as much time with my loved ones on holidays or watch an entire Steelers' game when scheduled to work on a Sunday during football season.

But let's not get all crazy. It's called work for a reason, and I like my days off better. I can't shop while I'm working.

So you want to be a community organizer.

they told me that I love my job and I know they wouldn't lie to me.

I do really like my job but I hate the work.

Don't worry, my Bachelor's is an Art degree. If I hadn't earned my Associate's, I would have no hope at starting my career any time soon. If at all.

It's a love hate thing with my job. Love getting to meet new people and their families, eventually it's like getting a new family member. Shitty part is all the paper work and the really shitty part is people dying.

You're becoming a teacher? What grade and/or what subject?

There's no more rewarding profession.

(Feel free to PM me.)

That was the hard part of my thesis, too: finding a "new" topic to research.

That, and not sleeping more than 4 hours per day for sixteen straight months. And, condensing a thousand pages of research & analysis into a two-hundred page limit. Oh, and obviously, reading the same words over & over & over... until they all sound like the teacher from Peanuts.

But, besides that... what has my thesis ever done for me???
