My first guess would be to get lots of rest! I hope you start feeling better.

Unfortunately there's not a whole lot you can do besides ride it out. I had it for about a week before, and it's absolutely terrible. I got to the point where I was so dehydrated I had to go to the emergency room and be put on an IV drip for a little while.

I'd suggest getting to the doctor (because I'm not doctor and they may have something better that can help you). In the meantime, no matter how much you don't want to, try to keep drinking water. Throwing up sucks, but the deathly feeling of dry heaving to the point of muscles seizing up from dehydration is even worse.

Feel better soon!

Oh, and for sleep, try sleeping in a more sitting up position (I have one of those armchair pillows or whatever they're called that I had used). Don't worry, you'll wake up if start to hurl.

Keep yourself hydrated. My wife had it really bad for about a week and I had bought her a ton of Gatorade. While I was out getting it, she said she ran to the bathroom and was leaking out of both ends. We hadn't been dating for very long at this point, so she was glad I wasn't there when it happened.

Also, instead of water, something with electrolytes would be even more ideal if you have access to something like that. Pedialyte, Gatorade, even lemon or lime soda can help (be sure to dilute these with water, because too much sugar can make diarrhea worse). But just be sure to keep hydrated. And do get to the doctor if it lasts more than a day or two.

Go to the emergency room or your doctor's office, and let the health care professionals check you out. It's in your best interest.

I hate to break the news to you, but this is generally the most noticeable sign of TEASAR, or, Terminal Explosive AIDS Super Asshole Ripper. You have but days to live, and may wake up in blacked out fits of rage. During these fits, you will turn into a large, green, pickle-colored moron, and will likely shout obscenities and single-word phrases.

Just let your family know, that they won't like you when you're angry. And buy spandex pants.

I'm sorry. I did my best to save you.

Most have it right: rest and hydration (water and something w/ electrolytes).

If it's anything like the stomach flu (it's probably worse), then when you can finally eat again it will have to be something heavy in sodium or heavily processed.

Get ready for a steady diet of saltines.
