Default Mock Draft by JB

After giving it some thought our biggest need in 2014 and beyond could be OLB. Do you really think Worilds is up to par with our previous 3-4 OLB beasts? Can he even stay healthy for a full season? And will we re-sign him after one year? The other OLB starter by default is Jones who showed an alarming lack of quickness and power as a rookie, obtaining just one sack. Ladies and Gents, this is primary pass rush. I would set bar at 13 total sacks with these two, which is an epic fail in a -3-4 defense! QB pressures, fumbles, and coverage pass defended will also be down. If we get low production on the pass rush, the DB’s could be for some long afternoons.
.

Round one. WR Evans. A big man who dominated the best divison in college football. Opens up our route tree on Fades, jump balls, the sideline, and over the shoulder / comeback throws.

Round two. OLB Ford, who really impressed in the senior bowl. He has explosive quickness

Round three. Projected com. ILB Borland. Great vs the run, but not a liability in coverage thanks to smarts and instincts.

Round four. CB Atkins.Impressed at the senior bowl. Played at a small school, but the upside is there

Round five. DL Clarke - big, long, and with room to grow.

Round five B. Projected come pick RB West - Amazing production at a small school. Lit up the combine

Round six. OLB Starr - Relentless type, who did very well on quickness and cone drills. Big, with room to add muscle.

Round seven. P O’Donnell - Has a big leg, and covers kicks like a linebacker

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Dee Ford will progress exactly like Jarvis Jones. They both dominated in college without a large arsenal of pass rush moves. Ford needs bulk just like Jarvis. He won't come in and make the impact you're looking for.

And in all likelihood, he doesn't make it to 46. I'd be shocked if he makes it last NO in the first really.
