Provided the salary cap remains at [at least] $135 M, Seattle is only on the books for $109 M in 2015. Once you factor in cap rollover from previous year and the potential for the cap to increase, they are at least $26 M under the cap.

Then, a few more things to consider:

1. Russell Wilson is not a UFA until 2016. So they can ride out his contract and/or have him sign an extension that won't kick in until then.
2. Releasing the players I cited earlier (Lynch, Miller, Hauschka and even Brandon Mebane) frees up millions more---easily 10 figures (releasing all four of those guys would result in the realm of $15-18 M in cap relief).
3. One seriously cannot underestimate increased cap figures. Continued record profits + inflation should help to drive it higher (not necessarily as high as Mike Florio estimates, but it could easily reach $140 M if not close to $150).

All this considered, and barring some extravagant signing, the Hawks won't be in 'cap hell' until 2016 at the earliest and most of their biggest cap hits on their books have 'easy outs' come 2017 and beyond.

They have a three year window to pursue a modern NFL 'dynasty' (multiple titles) and, depending on how high the cap gets and how well their best players age, maybe longer (four to five years).

The Steelers themselves had a seven year window (2004-10), and technically longer if you include the draft years of guys like Troy (2003) and the last two years where injuries closed their window. There's no reason to believe that Seattle (or even San Fran) can't contend as well for as long.

So since last year was year two of the Wilson + Best D Hawks, they arguably have five years left to capitalize on their title window.

Wilson knows a big pay day is coming - he is clearing the financial decks by divorcing his wife he married in 2012
