Default QBs falling draft

What do you guys think?

All last year fans had Bridgewater pegged as #1 or #2 overall. Many Pittsburgh fans would have killed to draft him 15th overall and would have even wanted to trade BR7 to get a guy like him.

Other than Bortles, who is going to the QB wasteland of Jacksonville, no other QBs have been taken yet (21 picks in).

Is this a result of hype (Manziel) or teams wising up and following the 'Seahawks model' (paying less for elite QBs to save money and spend elsewhere)?

How many teams are going to kick themselves in the ass for passing on these supposed 'franchise QBs' years from now?

And WTF happens if Houston ends up with Clowney AND Bridgewater (preseason #1 AND #2)?!

Well, Manziel just went to QB wasteland #2: Cleveland.

We may have another Aaron Rodgers situation on our hands. Bridewater freefalling may motivate the hell out of him. On the right team... *whistle*

This is crazier upon analysis.

Bridgewater may have been #1 overall last year, but now it's looking like he'll be second round material. If this turns out to be Matt Leinart, part deux, then GMs will look smart.

Of course, here are some notable QBs drafted in the first round the last decade:

2004: J.P. Losman (22)
2005: Jason Campbell (25)
2006: VY (3) and Leinart (10)
2007: JaMarcus (1) and Brady Quinn (22)
2009: Mark Sanchez (5) and Josh Freeman (17)
2010: Tim Tebow (25)
2011: Locker (8), Gabbert (10), Ponder (12)
2012: Tannehill (8), Weeden (22)
2013: EJ Manuel (16)

So either Bridgewater is worse than those guys or GMs can't evaluate talent.

It's hard to tell if GMs have wised up from past mistakes or are so paranoid of them that they're passing on the next great QB based on a bad pro day.

This has the potential to become one of the greater 'what ifs'? in NFL history.

Jags favored Bortles. Browns favored Manziel. Raiders, Bucs, Vikings, and Titans passed. Bengals and Cards stuck with their guys.

If Bridgewater delivers, all those teams are going to look monumentally stupid (especially those that drafted inferior QBs in past seasons).

bortles going 3 was the biggest surprise of it all. that psuedo-ben comparison got him paid. and people say ben isnt elite lol, if you even just look like him you get overdrafted

the vikings trade at the end was a nice way to end the round. bridgewater should be a fine player.

I don't get it. Cleveland had the QB of the near future in Hoyer IMO. Just teach him to slide then spend the first on a splash player .

The NFL Radio guys are all over Bridgewater. Man this is the first draft where I really paid attention to player evaluations and I just don't get it. The obvious guys get picked, but a guy with a "ding" gets buried in the lower rounds.
