Season/Game Day Checklist

Ok I was a little nervous because for the last two years, my truck has always been washed the weekend before the opener and this year I didn't have an opportunity to do so.
However, yesterday I had to take a day off work for other reasons and decided while I'm waiting, I better make some things happen. Each year I've done something different and this year has been no different...so here's my checklist

1 - Truck washed day before opening day
2 - Autographed plaques hung on wall in daughter's room (Lloyd, Greene, Woodson)
3 - Poster of Ben hung on wall in daughter's room
4a - Daughter introduced to plaques and poster
4b - Daughter eye-balled Ben like he was special (almost flirting with him - good, the black and gold is flowing)
5 - Daughter recognizes Steelers emblem before opening day
6 - This morning's dress code
Daddy dressed in 5 times Super Bowl polo
Mommy dressed in Steelers polo
Baby dressed in Steelers pink shorts and tank top with emblem
7 - Baby handed Steelers football as she heads off to baby-sitters with mom
8 - Steelers CD blasting from the stereo on the way to work
9 - Read latest Steelers Digest before first game
10 - Latest Steelers Digest hung properly at work

All is good. Several new items added from last year, and nothing makes me happier than hearing my daughter trying to say "Steelers"!!!

Last night I told my husband I am not cooking dinner tomorrow (today) because the Steelers are on. I told him we will just order out, unless he wants to cook. I went to the store bought some vodka and beer, not sure what I'll have, maybe both. I then pulled out the game day Terrible Towel, and got my Parker Jersey ready to wear (whoo hoo at my new job, I can wear them). I found my Steelers CD and was tempted to blast it because I have a Dolphins fan next door to me, but it was late so I put my headphones on and listened to it quitely. On my way to work this morning, blasted the Steelers CD and stopped at the gas station. A few guys in the station looked over at me and when I walked in they said "Raiders", then I guess they got a better look and one laughed at his friend for saying Raiders. I just smiled..and shook my head. I was waiting for some crap talk, but maybe because I am a girl they decided against that, but they are Raiders fans so I figured some trash talk would come out. I just gave an evil stare. I also hung a terrible towel at my desk, haven't done much decorating since I will be moving offices. I can't wait for tonight. Here We Go Steelers!!
