Desperate need at CB....deepest position in the draft....and we wait until the 5th rd to pick a low level talent CB. WTF was the point...??? No excuse or spin can save the FO from justified criticism on this particular issue.

Its going to really suck if Darqueze Dennard is the real deal... another Revis... and plays with a chip on his shoulder against us for passing on him when we desperately needed a CB... and ends up picking off Big Ben... leaving us to watch the Dungholes shred our old, talentless secondary.

We all saw the games last year... terrible defense against the run and regular shredding of our secondary. We have Moats, Spence & Williams to compete for the ILB next to Timmons. We have BLEEP in the cupboard for a quality young CB.

It's no excuse that the Steelers have, for years, gone into the draft with the phrase "Take BAMFs early and depth late" tattooed to their eyelids. It's just the truth.

I think so too.

#1 cortez #2 ike #3 gay is actually not a bad lineup at cb

meanwhile at DL, we have Heyward at DE, McLendon at NT, and nobody at the other DE

at ILB we have timmons and williams. No depth behind that as well, spence is still a big question mark until the coaches can see how he does on the field. williams is also not up to par talent wise as far as what's required of an inside backer on a dick lebeau 3-4

OLB is an even more volatile situation. Our top backup is Carter which has been an absolute non-factor from the day he was drafted. We have a one-year wonder in Worilds who hasn't played a full season without getting injured. 1st round pick Jarvis Jones adds talent but very unproven. 2 unprovens with nobodies as backups. We BADLY needed to add linebacker talent to this defense.

2 of our biggest needs on defense were not at CB

This is going to sound ridiculous as it's May 12th, but look for Dorial Green-Beckham next year. Despite his off field issues, he's ridiculously talented. Up there with Amari Cooper in terms of receiving talent.

That's not ridiculous.

Ridiculous would be someone talking about Kyle Allen replacing BB in 2017... when Allen hasn't even started his freshman year yet. Who would say something that crazy!?!

Oh...
