Default raiders fire dennis allen

Raiderfans are so lucky! They get to fire a coach whenever they get upset.

Team Chaos

Every AFC division has had a clown team for years (Bills, Browns, Jax, Raiders)

Did this actually happen? Or is this the erroneous tweet from a poor AP journalist Sunday?

Raiders fire Dennis Allen after two-plus seasons

Dennis Allen's tenure with the Oakland Raiders has come to an end.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Monday, per a source informed of the situation, that the Raiders fired the head coach. Oakland fell to 0-4 on Sunday after another embarrassing loss, this time a 38-14 bludgeoning at the hands of the Miami Dolphins at Wembley Stadium in London. Fox Sports' Jay Glazer first reported the news.

Hired prior to the 2012 season, Allen was 8-28 in his two seasons and four games into the 2014 campaign. Who will take over for the Raiders as interim coach? Rapoport reported that the "assumption" is offensive line coach Tony Sparano, but senior offensive assistant Al Saunders is also an option.

Oakland had lost nine straight games dating back to the 2013 season before Sunday's contest with Miami. Rapoport reported it would take a meltdown against the Dolphins for Raiders' management to terminate Allen after four weeks, but Sunday's lopsided contest reached that level.

Around The NFL will have more on this story shortly.

One down, two to go! Reggie McKenzie can/should follow him soon. Mark Davis should then fire himself as owner and sell the team to someone with a f***in' clue!

I'm way beyond the upset/miserable fan stage. It sucks not having a team to follow. Even the Browns are moving in the right direction. The Raiders just spin their wheels in the same mud hole year after year no matter who owns/coaches the team. It's time for new ownership and a change of venue.

Imagine that. The Raiders firing a coach again... Who woulda thunk it?

Seriously though, who would want to coach that team? 1-2 years to turn around a team that's an NFL bottom dwellar year in and year out, and if you don't magically pull off a Super Bowl victory in that stint you're fired. Old Al Davis passed away and there's still a Davis running the team and you can tell. This team won't get any better until they change their ways, and that starts at the very top. I would even say the Raiders are worse than the Browns when it comes to how they run their organization.

Dennis Allen was overmatched from the beginning, Reggie McKenzie had to wait until this team was out of salary cap hell. Once this team was rich, they signed shitty players. The only reason he wasn't fired after last year was probably because they didn't want to be like Al Davis, who would fire guys every 1 or 2 years. Dennis Allen isn't a great coach, but Reggie McKenzie is a bad GM, and Mark Davis is an inexperienced owner.

Why have the still not announced an interim head coach? They can't just call someone [Jon Gruden??] and be like "Hey, wanna coach the Raiders this Sunday?" This clearly shows how poorly run the Oakland Raiders are, and even if they get a great coach, that coach probably still won't be successful there.

reports are they'll name al saunders or tony sparano.

maybe they read the message board here and are just waiting to see if the steelers fire mike tomlin in the next few days.

then we can hire dennis allen. i know alot of steelerfans wanna go the way of JAX and OAK and pluck a young inexperienced "mad scientist" from the seattle or denver coaching tree.

championship!!!
