Where do people come up with all this nonsense?

They're not preserving Ben's legacy. What are you talking about? He's this team's best player. Ben has been keeping this team as a playoff contender. Now that he has more help and some of the young players are maturing, he is poised to lead this team to Super Bowl contention starting right now.

Ben Roethlisberger has given this team the best chance to win Super Bowls in the past, he continues to give this team the best chance to win now, and he is the best option for this team to win Super Bowls over the next 4-6 years.

In 10 years, everyone will remember the Steelers teams that were led by Big Ben to all those Super Bowls. It will be considered the second Golden Era of Steeler football, and Ben will be the most important player of that era.

I know. Let's trade a proven winning quarterback that has led us to three Super Bowls for a young, unproven kid that won with superior talent around him in a pathetically weak conference possibly two years from now.

No thanks.

Do you even think some of this stuff through before you hit the "Submit" button?

I don't think you're going to get much support from this group, Wake. I think we stay with Ben, till he can't do it anymore...

Not to mention the fact that Ben is as healthy at the end of last year as we've seen him in quite some time. With the o'line getting better under Munchack, who's to say that Ben can't play at a high level for another 5 years at least? In this day and age, QB's are playing well into their late 30's, especially those who have proven to be ELITE like Ben has. There is no way you trade the only REAL chance you have of contending for a SB every year. I guess people forget what it was like from 1979 to 2005?! When you have a FRANCHISE QB, still IN HIS PRIME you KEEP HIM, period, end of discussion!!!! Next thread please!

We are the Steelers, we don't rebuild, we reload. I don't even think Winston is going to be a good pro QB. In trouble way too much. Our future QB may already be on the roster in Landry Jones. As far as college QB's go I like Hackenberg from PSU. I think he's going to be a stud, but I don't think we will be drafting high enough to get him down the road. This season will answer many questions, and I think most of them will be answered positively. We'll see. Can't wait to watch.

Our next starter at QB is in HS.

How cool would it be if it's Merrill Hodge's son...

My opinion, trade players or picks up to get Jameis Winston
Ben has another good 4-5 years left and gives us our best chance to win another Super Bowl during that time period.

so no, that is a stupid idea...

Funny that Ben can't get the team in the playoffs unless the defense is top 5 in points allowed yet some claim he leads the team. Bens playoff numbers are bad yet he leads the team, he's been horrible in 2/3 superbowls but he leads the team They can win with Ben they don't win because of Ben that has been proven

Is there a Grocery Store in Pittsburgh that sells "Bearded Clam" that Jameis (SP) can steal?
