Default Well I did it. So EXCITED!

I pulled the trigger on a couple of tickets to the Nov 2 game against the Ravens. Been a life long fan living in western Michigan and have only been able to make a Steelers game in Detroit and Cleveland.

So I'm doing my daily Steelers browsing yesterday and casually mention to my wife that, damn, this could be Troy's last year. We should really make an effort to go. Next thing you know I've got ten different pages open looking for tickets, then hotels.

Well, it's about a 7 hour drive and cost me a small fortune. Went with some club seats and we're staying at the Residence Inn right by Heinz so of course both are way overpriced but I figure the experience is priceless. At this point in my life, money I have, Steelers game day experience I don't. Time to fix that massive problem!

I told my wife I couldn't imagine a better setting for my first home Steelers game. An early fall night game against the team I love to hate the most!

I'm just beside myself with excitement all ready.

Any tips on what I shouldn't while in town please chime in! We arrive Saturday Nov 1st and head out Monday morning.

You'll have a blast. I did when I went to Heinz for my only game ever. It just sucked because we lost to the Ravens on a last minute TD pass to Torrey Smith. It's OK though. The only other game I ever went to was Steelers/Ravens in Baltimore and that was the game where Roethlisberger had his nose broken and Troy had the late strip sack of Flacco that pretty much won us that game.

Be sure to do some tailgating before the game and take time to walk around the stadium once inside to check out all of the trophies and memorabilia. It's a great experience. Have fun!

It is a great experience - as Buddha suggested, allow time to tour the memorabilia/museum at Heinz

IMO club seats are worth the extra $$ for a one time visit - I am going to the Colts game in late October this year - made my reservations at the North Shore Hyatt (with the gouging of a 2 day stay - my rate was cheaper at the Doubletree in London) but have not yet bought tickets online - the North Shore between Heinz and PNC Park has developed well

Does anyone know what row numbers in the club seats (Row K or so?) get you under the cover of the upper deck if it rains - Row D seats worked out last year but I would have been soaked if it rained

I'm hoping to do the same.
I'm from Cali and don't know any Steeles fans.
I don't think it'll be worth going by myself. .....

Approach Pittsburgh from the northwest. When you go around the bend and the entire city skyline appears in front of you from behind the mountains, it's magical.

Everyone will tell you to eat at Primanti's, you probably even know that already.

Make sure you hit up Burgatory too though. Best burger of your life.

Don't forget your terrible towel. Better yet pick up several on the strip beforehand. ;)

Should be great - I did not want to go to the Browns game (potentially too hot), had no interest in seeing Tampa Bay, or a night game since I am going with my Dad (which ruled out Texans and Ravens), so Colts game was the best option before potentially colder weather starts

Colts game is one the Steelers need to win if they intend to contend for the division

Does Bettis's still not take reservations?
