Default 2014 AFC North Champions Steelers

Ravens are decaying
Bengals will be the Bungles
Browns will always be the Brownies
Steelers are the most improve team in the AFC north so far in free agency. Our offense will only get better with Lance Moore and LeGarett Blount on offence, with our defense getting younger and faster you can kiss 8-8 season good bye!!!

welcome to the board! You've got some great points. We've still got the draft and training camp to go through, but I agree with your optimism.

The main reason that we were 8-8 the past 2 seasons was injuries. The only way that we'll improve on 8-8 this year is staying healthy.

yes I know injuries did affect our team the past 2 seasons but our play on defense was declining and our young offensive line accounted for our back to back 8-8 season. The sky will get brighter for us after the draft. We will have 9 selection(unless trades are made) this year and we should be adding 3 on offense(RB-TE-WR) and 6 on defense. Defense is were I hoping for some great players to come to us, such as CB,DL,LB and Safeties.

I hate to be the contrarian of the board, but I'm all for it!

Welcome to the board Hoss!

I think both you & Lambert are right regarding the fact that we have finished 8-8 because of injuries and due to the age of the defense. I like the fact that the Steelers are realizing that they NEED to get younger on defense. We need to have a good draft in order to replenish the defense especially. If we can draft 3at least new starters on the D and another 2 on the O, we should be able to contend again. We already have a franchise QB and in my opinion, the most important position now a days, and as long as you have that, you can always contend. We need to draft at least two DB's, a DE and a good nose that can contribute sooner rather than later and that will help a lot. The fact that this is a deep draft in areas that we need help in is good for us. Here's hoping we have a good draft!

I won't laugh at all. The front office has shown a sense of urgency.

Our off season has been stellar so far.

*smart and aggressive in free agency

* Munchak hiring

If we top this off with a killer draft , which I think we will. I've been messing around with the fanspeak draft simulator which features 3 different scouting services. and there are players that will help this team throughout this draft. I have faith the Steelers will plug some holes and add some depth.

As others have said injury can only derail our Season.

I'll need to see the official schedule and who's drafted before cementing a pick of 'division champs', but the Steelers should win at least nine games.

The division should be a battle no matter what though.

Bengals still have a loaded roster and the Ravens are good for at least seven wins in any season.
