Hello fello steeler fans. I have been a steelers fan as long as I can remember. I am finally taking time off to go to a home game. I am flying in from florida for the cincy game. If anyone can give me any info. on the best places to stay and whats going on that weekend I would appreciate any help. I have never been to pittsburgh and not sure of the lay out and what is the best area to stay to join in the fun with the best fans in football. I am looking forward to hearing from you guys. Thanks,Ron

Well, it depends on what you like to do, what you like to eat, how much your willing to spend and how long you are staying.
Posted this info once before, but my personal suggestions.................. Hotel: The Hilton. Walk across the bridge and your at Heinz Field. Five minute drive to the Strip District and Station Square. Museums: While there are many, these are the two I suggest..... Senator John Heinz Pittsburgh Regional History Center (whole section of local sports history in the area, a must see.) 1212 Smallman Street Pittsburgh, PA 15222 (412) 454-6000 Carnegie Museum in Oakland 4400 Forbes Avenue Pittsburgh, PA 15213 412-622-3131 Dining: There are many. Depends on what you like and how much your willing to spend. Just a few suggestions. Del's 4428 Liberty Avenue Pittsburgh, PA (412) 683-1448 Bloomfield district. Italian cuisine and pizza. Mon-Sat: 11:30am - midnite. Sun: 2pm - 9pm. Major credit cards accepted. QED card accepted. Reservations suggested. Bar on premises. Non-smoking available. Average 3-course meal: $10 - $25. Also: If you want a great selection in beer, there is a Polish joint directly next to Del's, stop in for a beer. It has a huge sign painted on the wall "The Only Polish restaurant in Little Italy". Primanti Bros. Locations in Oakland, South Side, Strip District and Market Square Ruth's Chris Steak House 6 PPG Place Pittsburgh, PA (412) 391-4800 Downtown district. American cuisine. Lunch: Mon-Fri, 11:30am - 3pm. Dinner: Mon-Thurs, 5pm - 10:30pm; Fri & Sat, 5pm - 11pm; Sun, 5pm - 9pm. Reservations suggested. Major credit cards accepted. Bar on premises. Handicapped access. Non-smoking available. Average 3-course meal: $25 - $40. Tambellini on route 51 Good pasta, steak and seafood Sports Rock Cafe 1400 Smallman Street Pittsburgh, PA 15222 (412) 552-1000 Great wings, burgers, hoagies, etc. The Le Mont (expensive but great food and one hell of a view of the city) 1114 Grandview Avenue Pittsburgh, Pa 15211 412-431-3100 Other attractions: The Point. Also includes the Fort Pitt museum Mt. Washington. Excellent view of the city. Take the incline down. Station Square. Shopping and dining. Shady Side. Shopping and dining. Science Center. Located near Heinz Field. Kennywood Amusement Park. Sandcastle Water Park. The Waterfront. Shopping and dining. South Side. Good bars and dining. More laid back and not as cheesy as the Strip on a Fri. or Sat. night. Strip District. Not my favorite place in the city to visit on Fri. and Sat. nights. Clubs, bars and dining. Bloomfield. Pittsburgh's "Little Italy". Great food if you like Italian. Del's and Lombardozzi's are my two suggestions if you happen to visit Bloomfield. Heinz Field and try to catch a Steeler game. PNC Park and try to catch a Pirate game. Enter at your own risk. Great park, product is a joke. I'm sure I have missed many others, but those are the main attractions that come to mind. If you have any other questions in particular feel free to PM me. If not, good luck, have fun and travel safely. Wow ! You got some great suggestions from 83, as he said it depends how deeply you want to dig in your pockets. From my experience staying in expensive places as well as inexpensive, it really does not matter because there are Steeler fans all over the place and they will all make you feel welcome. I would suggest sending Stlrs4Life a pm regarding a tailgate because he has one each week and it is the best! It looks like 83 has taken care of you in all the other aspects, which is exactly how you will be treated in Pittsburgh, see 83 is from Pittsburgh and making out of towners feel like Pittsburgh is a place they want to return to is well it is a Pittsburgh thing!
You are gonna have a ball no matter where you stay!~
