[QUOTE=HometownGal;153352]Well, my friend - there's only one reasonable answer to that. Don't freakin' drink and drive! Forego the booze for a night, save some money by lodging outside of downtown Pittsburgh, wake up without a nasty hangover, drive down to Heinz with not a worry in the world, spend the extra money saved on the hotel and have a few beers, buy more Steelers gear and enjoy the hell out of the game! A very simple concept. [/QUOTE

We have stayed downtown a couple of times, but we prefer Cranberry, we also have friends from Wexford. When we do stay in Pittsburgh we stay at an inexpensive hotel and take cabs, with everyone putting in on it it is really not that expensive at all, not even close.

Bump that idea, half the fun of tailgating is still being drunk when you wake up, so you can do it all over again the day of the game.

Yeah but I only get to Da 'Burgh once a year. I relish in one stop on Saturday late morning/early afternoon stop at the Strip District (gotta get my grub on) and then preparing for a night out (it's my one weekend a year I can drink) before hitting the stadium on Sunday morning for a wee bit of the hair of the dog!
