Default Congrats Bengals Fans

Hey lets give credit to the Bengals. They made the plays when they had to and won the game. Just like the Steelers in the Super Bowl. I thought our defense today was flatout awesome and really enforced their will on the Bengals offense. The game was lost to Big Ben's horrible INT's and Colclough's stupid play.

I love Big Ben more anyone. I wanted this guy to be a Steelers from the time he entered the 2004 NFL draft. But he flatout stinks right now. No excuses for Ben. He just stinks. Hope the kid can rebound and play like the champion we know he is. As for Colclough. I really hope I never see him back on punt returns ever again. Time and time again Colclough has proved to be a terrible punt returner. But Cowher continues to put him back there.

Memo to Bill Cowher once again. Where is Willie Reid? I thought he would be the replacement for El on punt returns. I think the Steelers are in for a really long year. But if so oh well. They will always be my team. Lets put this game behind us Steelers Nation and concentrate on the Chargers game. I think the bye week is coming at a great time for the Steelers.

Thanks B&GF32, it was a great game to watch. The Steelers defense looked flat out awesome at times, it's too bad their offense and special teams couldn't help them out (much like last week). It appears that it might have been a better option for the Steelers to have rested Big Ben until the bye week as he doesn't look to be 100% yet.

I remember counting the Steelers out last year after a loss to Cincy, but I won't make the same mistake this year. The Steelers have all the makings of a great team, they just need to get all of the rust knocked off. I'm confident that they will be back as the same old Steelers after the bye week and will make a serious charge towards the postseason. I'm already looking forward to the rematch.

Your right bro it was a great game. But I'm not going to make any excuses. The Bengals won and thats the bottom line. I can sit here and say Ben was rusty. But thats just a bunch of . You can also say that Carson Palmer is shaking rust off as well and he is playing well. The heat he took all day and for him to stick in there and make the plays he had to was impressive. Thats why I think he is one of the top 3 QB's in the NFL.

I just hope Ben can regain his Big Ben form.

No doubt, it was obvious that both Big Ben and Carson are still a bit rusty. Luckily the Steelers will have a week off to regroup...I feel sorry for the next team they play because I'm sure Cowher will have something to say these next couple of weeks.

Thumbs up Re: Congrats Bengals Fans

I also wanted to chime in with congrats to the Bengals fans.
I was almost as excited through that game as I was through the super bowl lol

We didn't pull it out this time--you guys did, and I too really look forward to the next matchup

Well the Steelers have to travel to San Diego after the bye week. So I'm thinking thats a loss as well. I just have no faith in Big Ben right now. I'm a huge Ben fan and wanted the Steelers to draft him and still so glad they did. But whatever is wrong with him. He needs to correct it fast or its going to be a very long season.
