Chiefs @ Steelers 10/15

Hello Steeler Fans;

Three friends and myself will be coming from Pottsville, PA to the above game in a couple weeks. I?m a Chiefs Fan but the other three are hard core Steeler Fans. I plan on being thoroughly intoxicated throughout Sunday to numb the remarks and the more than likely outcome of the game.

Anyway, I?ve spent the most time in Western PA out of the group (graduated from IUP & Pitt in ?97) so I volunteered to take care of where to stay and spend the free time of the trip and I?m looking for advice.

It?s been almost 10 years since I?ve been out there so bear with me; I wanted to stay on the South Side as close to all the bars and the stadium as possible. I remember some really cool bars in that area back in the day, I assume it?s the same if not better and it should only be a couple minute taxi ride to the stadium if I remember correctly.

As far as the hotel, nothing fancy required. It?s going to be four 30 year old guys drinking for two days, just need a place to crash and clean up without ****roaches.

If anyone wants to meet up for some tailgating we?ll have plenty of beer.

I?m really looking forward to this game, but not the outcome on this one. Neither team is setting the game on fire at this point but the Steelers have a much better defense and the game is in your house.

Also read that Trent Green still isn?t driving after the hit Geathers put on him (in mid slide) so Damon Huard will probably be behind center again. It?s looking to be long season for the Chiefs, again.

Not sure of the Southside, but you can get in the Sring Hiil Suites next to PNC Park. It's close to everything on the North Shore.

I am canceling my reservations at the Quality inn at the University today, you might check that. We have a Condo we are going to stay in so we don't need the room anymore.

There's a Holiday Inn Express on the South Side on 10th Street near Carson. Last time I checked Station Square and the Spring Hill Suites next to PNC park were sold out. My wife and I got tickets to a tailgate through Paulson Tours for $25. All you can eat and drink.
