He is a Pittsburgh native, right? He may get an interview but his downfall is his already crappy record as a heach coach.

LET ME BE THE FIRST TO SAY "NO" TO DAVE WANNSTEDT!~!!1
No way do I want him here in Pittsburgh... I guess someone had to have a bad Idea didnt they?
Grimm would give us that same mentality that Cowher gives us now, tough and run oriented... he played for one of the best running teams in NFL history in Washington with the Hogs and he would be very pushy for our team to be physical and play tough defense... NO Way to Dave Wannstedt....!!!

Wether you like him or not means little to what will actually happen if Cowher retires! Reality is that Dave, a Pittsburgh native, will likely get an interview having been a prior NFL coach who just happens to be available at lowly Pitt lol. I wouldn't want him as our head coach either but he's be a likely candidate. My vote went to Marvin Lewis before the two year extension, now I think Wiz will get the job.

P.S. That Crucifiction icon is kinda creepy don't you think? I'm not poking fun, I'm serious.

If you dont understand what it stands for 4n2to then email me and I will let ya in on the secret...
Wannstedt is (was) a joke in the NFL in my opinion and he should Not be considered... its like the Raiders bringing back their old coach... no disrespect to him but it is past his time there also...Wannstedt would be a huge mistake!

i see the steelers hiring an african american coach. For the simple fact of wouldnt it be kinda hypocritcle for them not too considering rooney was the biggest supporter of ethnic head coaches getting a chance

If you really already have decided to hire a qualified candidate, going through sham interviews is simply tokenism that makes a mockery of what the rule was intended to achieve, which was more African-American HCs, not simply more African-American HC interviews.
There is more African-American HCs now then there ever has been. Should there be more they hold a higher % of HC jobs than their % of population which has to be progress? Right? Or is there still upset African-American's that think they should hold more of these jobs??? Just wondering not pokeing for a fight

The Whiz came back to pittsburgh for a reason, and it wasnt just to be a assistant coach, the job is his whenever cowher retires

Why not Norm Chow? -- the guy's great - I have followed his career -- the guy is an Offensive genius -- if he had a half decent offense/quarterback to work with - he would be great
