Well no shit, Sherlock! And for that hit that obviously wasn't clean, you got the equivalent of a slap on the wrist, even though you've been suspended before for a similar hit. How Colin Campbell, the discipline czar, saw fit to only give him 2 games is beyond me. He's a repeat offender, Colin...I thought that mattered? Oh wait, nevermind - you base your suspensions off throwing darts at a dartboard.

Dupuis and Sutton used to be teammates, and Dupuis said he knew that Sutton was upset about what he did.

"He felt really bad," Dupuis said. "He tried to contact me. I sent him a text back."

Dupuis did not call for Sutton to be suspended, but made it clear that, remorse aside, Sutton had to accept responsibility for his actions.

"Maybe he didn't want to do it," Dupuis said. "But he still did it."

Anyway, they're on different teams now.

I'm not even sure that the off-ice relationship is/was that strong.

Injury updates on Fleury, Talbot, and Dupuis...Gonchar leaves practice early.

Penguins head coach Dan Bylsma updated the media on the team's current injury situations:



- Pascal Dupuis sported a swollen right eye in the locker room after being checked face first into the boards late in the third period of Tuesday's 6-4 victory over the Islanders. Dupuis was briefly unconscious and left the game.



"For Pascal we'll go with a lower-body injury," Bylsma joked. Then he added: "He is going through a series of tests right now to make sure the structure of everything is OK. It certainly looks pretty bad but when you get cut above the eye and you sleep on it, it usually swells up and you see that discoloration. We went through some tests today, we'll do some tests tomorrow and see where he's at. He's day-to-day, possibly (playing Thursday). If not (Thursday) then hopefully for the weekend"



- Max Talbot left Pittsburgh's Tuesday win in the second period and did not return.



Bylsma: "Max is a lower-body injury, he's day-to-day."



- Marc-Andre Fleury has been out after fracturing his left ring finger in a 3-1 win at Calgary Jan. 13.



Bylsma: "We are waiting for a new glove for Flower. He should be getting it (Thursday) morning. He'll be going on the ice with the new glove prior to practice. He could possibly practice with us. ... We are waiting for a new glove that would fit what he needs to wear on his finger and make it more comfortable. We'll see how that goes. Hopefully we can progress to practice and we'll go from there."



- Sergei Gonchar skated at the start of the Penguins' Wednesday practice session but left the ice early for the locker room.



Bylsma: "He was on the ice briefly. He's still dealing with an injury from a few weeks ago. He's day-to-day. Hopefully we'll have him again (Thursday)."

Well we will see who is playing tonight, but since the Pens recalled Nick Johnson and Dustin Jeffrey in sure all those named above except Gonch will be out tonight.
Hope the Pens come out hard tonight because the Caps always seem to do and im hoping that Orpik gets his fair share of chances at Caveman he is due for a pounding.

I was just watching the pre-game and they showed a clip of an interview with the Caveman. With all the gazillions of green that dirty schmuck makes, why the hell hasn't he fixed those choppers of his? Jagr had the same issue but eventually got his teeth fixed and capped.

Always a tough game when playing the Craps. Let's hope the PP is as effective tonight as it was on Tuesday night!

Theodore is in the net for the Craps tonight and has a phenomenal record against us, so I agree - SHOOT, SHOOT, SHOOT!!!! And - park Rupp in front of the net and dare anyone to move him.
