BTW, this was the Pens' 18th win on the road, which is the most in the NHL. They have more wins and points on the road than at home, believe it or not. It's nice to get all these road wins, but they have to start taking advantage of home ice more often.

Agreed. Good stat I didn't notice that one at all and I study the Pens more than my college books!
Yes time to take advantage of the hometown crowd and get wins at home where it matters for sure and we will need balanced wins at home and away in the playoffs for sure!

Great to get another win tonight.

Only one game on the schedule in the next five days, which irritates me because I could go for a game every night, although I realize that's not possible. It will be nice to have some extra time though to hopefully heal up some bodies.

Including this guy:

Is it just me or do they need to axe the mustache boy thing? It's starting to creep me out.

They need us there as good luck charms. It seems that the Pens have won more games than lost when we've been there.

I, too, hope Godard's injury isn't serious. We need him out there on that ice to swat the flies away. Anyone have an update?

They are 9-1-1 when one or both of us have been there. So yeah, maybe going more often might help. Hopefully Thursday night brings us another win!

So far, no word on Godard's injury. They did send Conner and Nick Johnson back to WBS, so either it's not serious or both Billy and Max will be ready to go on Thursday.

I'll be sporting my Ruutu jersey. Haven't worn it since he left the team. I really miss him a lot.

I hope it's not serious - you know how much I adore him!

Hopefully, Billy G and Superstar will be in the lineup on Thursday night.

Well If Godard's injury is as I expect than Im will to bet they will state it a "lower body injury" and his extent will be up to the doctors, we need him back soon!

Fleury really looked good last night. I can't wait to play the Caps again with Flower on his game.

Wow, you guys are our lucky charms. That's a great record.

If things start tanking on the road, then I'll have to demand that you two pack your bags and hit the road with the team. I'm serious ......

I'm thinking you get a finger or two for that, right?
Way to represent our Pens!

Some snipits from an article on Duper's injury:

Quote:
The big surprise isn't that Penguins winger Pascal Dupuis played Sunday against the Philadelphia Flyers with 37 stitches above his right eye from a gash so deep that doctors could put a finger in and touch his skull. The surprise was that Dupuis didn't play against the Washington Capitals Thursday night after ramming face-first into the boards two nights earlier, leaving him momentarily unconscious and his blood turning the Mellon Arena ice a hideous red.
Quote:
He was checked from behind into the boards Tuesday night by New York Islanders defenseman Andy Sutton. "The first thing I remember was the ref saying, 'Stay down. It's pretty bad. The trainer and doctor are coming,' " he said. "I knew it was bad. My helmet was a bucketful of blood."
Quote:
Dupuis knows he was lucky. He could have lost his eye. He could have lost his life the way his neck snapped back from the force of his face hitting the boards. The 37 stitches almost seem like nothing.

Honest to God, I don't know how their families and especially their wives can handle being married to a hockey player, but then again love is stronger than anything on this earth.

I'd be a nervous wreck in their situation though. There's a lot of perks that come with being a professional athlete but it isn't all sunshine with purty rainbows.
