At least Fleury had a good game.
![]() Besides, it's not like we got shut out by the Oilers or anything...these guys were right in the playoff race until we knocked them out in OT the other night, and it was their last game of the season. They were obviously hell bent on playing for pride and spoilers. Way, way too much time in the penalty box though...it killed any momentum the Pens (and the Thrashers too for that matter) had during the game. |

Did you guys forget that the Pens had to play the last half of the game without Orpik and Cooke? That might throw a crimp in their ability to play their game, since they were already without 2 of their regulars, Kunitz and Ponikarovsky. At that point, they just played the game trying not to get anyone else hurt before the playoffs start. Just ask Alex Kovalev and the Sens about that - Kovalev tore his ACL Friday night and is out for the playoffs. Thankfully neither Cooke nor Orpik were seriously injured and were both just held out for precautionary reasons (Cooke and his nugget, Orpik was cut by a Thrasher). Both will be available when the playoffs start, and they will get Kunitz and Ponikarovsky back as well. Just have to get through today without any injuries.
EDIT: The Pens have recalled LW Eric Tangradi from WBS today. He is our top wing prospect, so we'll get to see a little bit of what he can do. This probably means Matt Cooke isn't playing today: http://penguins.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=524882

Well let's just be positive here boys and girls I sure am. Heck if Sid doesn't win the rocket Oh well Id rather see that Cup over his head again. Yes were the 4th seed, but we had a lot of injuries this season and the team played fine and if they turn it on in the post season will be deadly once again.
Team should be healthy for the first playoff series and the Sens are down without Kovalev which is a huge loss! Im ready for the postseason and our Pens to prove they are still the best! GO PENS! |

No goals for Captain Ug today. So Stamkos and Sid still have a chance to win the Rocket. If Sid doesn't win it, I have no problem with Stamkos winning it. That kid is a special player.

CONGRATS SID ON YOUR 50TH GOAL (officially :wink)!!!
![]() Beautiful pass by Geno! ![]() It's now a 3 way tie for the Rocket between Sid, Captain UG and Stamkos. I'd love to see him win that trophy but if not him, I want it to be Stamkos. Pens up 3-0 over the Isles with a little under 2 left in the 1srt. LETS GO PENS!!!!

Tavares puts one over Johnny's shoulder on an Isles 5 on 3 PP to make it 3-1.
