Thank God this period is over. It sucked from the start pretty much.

That's the truth, but we are only down by two. That's not terribly bad. We still have a chance.

This game has had it all...mental errors, dumb penalties, horrible defensive zone play, bad D coverage...you name it, the Pens have done it. They've basically handed this game over to the Sens so far when they easily could have taken control. I don't care how much they've been struggling, you CANNOT play like that, give them chances and expect to win. They simply have too much talent.

Amen Brother. Time to regroup and kick Ottawa's Ass in the 3rd Period. Remember the last visit to Scotiabank Place?

Yeah, and it can happen again, I guess. But obviously the kick in the ass that they got yesterday has not translated into solid play on the ice today. They have simply looked awful at times. Not at all what I expect out of a team that has aspirations of winning a division/conference championship.

It's very possible. I don't see why not. Only down by two.

We just have to play smarter and more disciplined hockey. Ruutu was capable of showing discipline and letting Lapointe take the two. Gonchar was a complete moron and not only decided to cross check Alfredsson once, but he went back again with a more vicious cross check to the head. You can't do that during a tied hockey game. Act like an idiot, you pay the price. Of course Therrien won't call him out though. That's only for Orpik and Whitney.

Dumb mental errors.

100% so. This team has not played like they just did get a swift kick in the rear.
