Great article on Roberts, HTG. When he was injured back in December, I really thought his season, and possibly career, might be over. I should have thought otherwise, because he is so driven and is tougher than most of the young guys in the league. The man came back from a career-threatening neck injury to play at a high level, so I should have figured a broken leg/high ankle sprain wouldn't keep the old man down. He's a throwback to when hockey was a real man's game, back in the 80s when Calgary and Edmonton would literally beat the hell out of each other every time they played in the Battle of Alberta. I'm definitely glad he plays for us, that's for sure!

Great game last night.
Asside from the obvious, there were some other key performances----
Despite being held pointless, Crosby looked good--flying all over the ice--no denying the guy hustles. At one point when he skated his butt off to get prevent an icing the guy two rows down said at the top of his voice: "Are you freaking kidding me, the greatest player in the world hustling like that? unbelieveable!" And that sums it up.

Staal looked good too----he was all over the ice and great on the penalty kills.

In general the defense looked great. Tons of blocked shots. Gill is a force back there.

Malkin looks more like Lemieux everyday----on the Sykora goal, he held the puck for what seemed like hours and just paralysed the defense and the goalie, ala "la Magnifique"

Looking forward to tomorrow!!!
1 down 15 to go!

That sounds awesome, but unfortunately we're supposed to get rain and thunderstorms all afternoon, so it may end up being canceled. I may have taken it in since I'm going to the Pirates game, but that's likely going to be rained out too. :(
