LOL!!! Big Hall isn't a goal scorer, but with that beautiful drop pass by Malkin, how could he not put that in the net? Wow - the Pens are on FIRE this period!

What a WOW of a game tonight by our Pens! From start to finish, they played hard, finished their checks, got the puck on net and just totally outplayed and overwhelmed the Flames. Fleury was again outstanding in the Pens net. This one was a team win - everyone did their job and did it well. Keep it going boyz!

Agreed. Geno should definitely get the MVP but you know who's going to get it yet again. No one - not even AO - deserves that award this season more than Malkin imho.

Wow, what a game! The Pens really took it to the Flames from start to finish. Everyone was skating, battling along the boards, forechecking hard, backchecking, finishing their checks...it was really fun to watch. They've had some really good games over the past couple of months, but this was their best and most complete effort of the season, at a time when they absolutely needed it. The Flames had some opportunities, but they were BADLY outplayed, and had no answer for anything the Pens did.

This team is playoff bound, and God help whoever they face, because if they play like this, they will beat absolutely anyone.

Also, Hal Gill was the freaking man tonight. What a game he had - probably his best game as a Penguin.

yea, its a shame. Malkin has been the best player in the NHL all season, when the Pens struggled, Malkin kept us in it. He has lead the NHL in scoring since bout day 1 and still he doesnt get any recognation ahead of Sid and OV.

oh well, im sure Malkin would rather have a Stanley Cup than an MVP!

great game tonight, its a shame we only get to see them once, a great matchup, both side have a ton of superstars.

poor Matt Cooke, cant get the empty net goal on two attempts

It'll be an absolute travesty if they give AO the Hart. It would be as bad as Gretzky getting it in 88-89 even though Mario easily won the scoring title and led the upstart Pens to the playoffs (it was at that point that I really began to hate Gretzky's guts). The writers had damn well do the right thing when it comes time to vote. You are absolutely right - no one in the league deserves the Hart Trophy more than Geno.

That was a great game, particuarly by Fleury. It was one of those nights when I think they could have played another three periods and the Flames just weren't going to get one past him.

Playoff scenario update #2:

-- Thanks to the Sabres beating the Panthers last night, both the Devils and Caps have clinched playoff berths. The Caps can clinch the SE division title with a win over the Lightning tomorrow night.

-- The Flyers will clinch a playoff berth with a win over the Panthers tonight.

EDIT: The other 2 scenarios I posted were incorrect.

Great game last night against the Flamers!!!

If we keep playing like that and with that kind of intensity? Especially the intensity displayed during the 4 minute PP? We can beat the Rangers!

LET'S GO PENS!!!
