The Pens are physically and mentally ready for this season. No Stanley Cup hangover so far and Bylsma is doing a great job keeping the team prepared and ready to repeat this season.
Sens will be a great match-up im excited for Monday!

I've already heard him quietly repeat his soft-spoken, somewhat vague but truthful mantra from last year that "we need to do the things that we need to do..... play the way that we need to play..... to be successful", so Lt. Dan is on-message.

I'm hoping to make the game in Sunrise just-before Thanksgiving, and the game on 2 January this season:
my fiancee says she knows if the Guins ever play the Lightning in the post-season, that I'll just live under a bridge on dahntahn Tampa when the Pens are in-town.

Yeah, but goons make the game fun!

ha ha!

Yeah - that tough guy team in Toronto sure looks like a winner - hey - let's get some fighters to go along with that slow, porous PK unit - yeah - that's the ticket.

Sid and Malkin were flying circles around the pylons yet again.
Consider who the GM of the Leafs is now - Brian Burke. He loves the tough guys...not that there's anything wrong with that. Our own GM loves tough guys - hell, the Pens are one of only 2 teams that carry 2 legit heavyweights on the team in Godard and Rupp, and the Baby Pens are full of tough guys. The Leafs are just short on talent, although they should get a boost when Kessel gets back.

Ottawa has been good, but I still think the Pens will handle them. I'm not worried.

Ottawa may be better now since they got rid of Heatley and picked up Cheechoo. Either way it should be a good game.

Should be an excellent game tonight, but our Pens can pull through.

GOOOALLLL! Jordan Staal his third goal in three games and the Pens put the nail in the coffin leading 4 to 1 with 9:45 to go.
